if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong
today was my first cyclocross race of the 2013 season. i didn't finish. and i don't care. i got muddy, did a few laps with some friends, and helped out at the race. it was an amazing day (weather and all).
i could go on and say the reason i DNF'd was because i've been sick, i'm getting over a stupid little injury, i've been working way too much and have had hardly any time on the bike in the past month, that i am a new dad, etc. while it's all true, it's not why i DNF'd. i lined up today in spite of the above reasons and whether i did one lap or finished the entire race, i told myself the most important thing was to have fun. and fun i had.
