rosé season

summer is at its height and if you haven't been enjoying a glass if rosé or two, there's still time! there are plenty of rosés on the market, and there are many to be had at attractive (read: wallet-friendly) prices. however, I'm not going to talk about those today. i'm going to talk about the benchmark in rosé, domaine tempier. this is rose at its finest. while most rosés are meant to be consumed near term, tempier can age (rather nicely). i won't lie, tempier is not cheap. at ~$40 for a 750ml, it's a splurge, but if you like rosé, you have to try it at least once. you'll not find a better rosé - it's dry with a round body and complex but balanced flavors.

the current vintage just landed, so seek out your local wine shop and treat yourself!
